The Export To Excel feature is a handy for keeping a copy of data saved locally, or maybe you want to analyse some records for an upcoming meeting.
Where Can It Be Done
The Export To Excel button can be found in various places in the system. In general, anywhere you see a grid/list of records, the button will be shown.
Tip
The ribbon can only display a few buttons at a time. If you can't find the Export To Excel button it may be hiding in the overflow menu button
- eg. from Views (Sales > Contacts > Active Contacts)
- eg. from Advanced Find Results
- eg. from Charts on Dashboards
Tip
To access the view used to make the chart, hover over the chart and click the icon. From there you can access the Export To Excel like any other View.
The Button
Here's a quick explanation of the options to choose from when Exporting To Excel
Open in Excel Online
Opens the data in a spreadsheet in the cloud Excel Online. This is a quick & easy way to review the data without even needing Excel installed on your PC.
Static Worksheet
Export all data from the View. This means all records from all pages. If you have 3,287 records in the View it will export all of them.
Caution
The maximum record limit for export is 100,000 records. If you attempt to export more than this the system will only export the first 100,000 records.
Static Worksheet (Page only)
Export only the amount of records shown on the current page of the View. If you can only see 50 records, it will export 50.
Dynamic Worksheet
This will export an Excel sheet capable of dynamically interacting with MiiiA data. This allows you to change parameters on the fly.
Dynamic PivotTable
This will export an Excel sheet, with a PivotTable, capable of dynamically interacting with MiiiA data. This allows you to change parameters on the fly.
Export In Action
- Once you've clicked Export you will get a progress indicator
- Your browser will download the file, allowing you to Save or Open
- Voilà!
